Privacy notice
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Who we are
SETTRUS LTD, company number 17094499, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. This notice covers website visitors and enquiries; it does not cover future product services.
To contact us about privacy, select “Other enquiry” in our contact form, or reply to an email from us.
What we collect and why
When you contact us, we receive your name, email address, organisation, enquiry reason, product interest and message, along with any role, timing information or update preference you choose to provide. Providing this information is voluntary; we need enough contact information to answer you.
We use it to respond, discuss potential customers, pilots, partnerships or investment, and keep a record of those discussions. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and developing our business relationships.
We also process your network address briefly to limit repeated form submissions and protect the website. The form protection database stores a keyed code derived from that address and a short-lived counter, rather than your address, message or contact details. This supports our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Optional product updates
We send product and pilot updates only if you tick the separate optional box. We rely on your consent for these updates. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to an update or using our contact form. This does not affect your enquiry or the lawfulness of earlier use.
Who can access your information
Access is limited to the people handling your enquiry and service providers supporting website hosting, security and email delivery. Those providers process information to operate these services. We do not sell your information.
Our email service is configured in the EU. Hosting and support providers may process information in other countries. You can contact us for information about the providers and international processing arrangements that apply to your enquiry.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiry records for up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact. We review records regularly and delete or anonymise them sooner when they are no longer needed. An automated update does not restart this period.
If an enquiry becomes a customer, investment or partnership relationship, records needed for that relationship follow a separate retention schedule, which we explain as part of the relationship. Records needed for a legal obligation or dispute may be kept for the period necessary for that purpose.
Update subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or they are no longer needed. We may keep a minimal record of your request to ensure that you are not contacted again. Form protection counters expire after 15 minutes; expired entries are removed when the next valid form submission is checked.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy where that right applies.
You have the right to object to our use of your information based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.
Cookies and analytics
Settrus has not enabled visitor analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting platform provides security features to protect the website. We will update this notice and provide any required choices before enabling optional tracking.
Enquiries are reviewed by people. We do not use this contact form to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
